You know those “Ahhhaaaa” moments we all have? Like if you eat to many fries your butt grows to the size of North Carolina, if your husband reminds you not forget the trash can is behind your van, you will never the less run over it…
I had one of those moments the night of the parade. I realized that all my hard work trying to teach my kids about how important family memories are had finally paid off!!!! While getting in place to watch the parade the tribe started yelling “Babs, Babs…remember when we took our picture in front of this lamp post? You just HAVE to take a picture of us in front of it!!!!”
Of course they were right I did have a picture of them in front of this lamp post…and of course we had to have a picture of them in front of it again.
Of course this could not have gone without SOME incident…Noel and Allie climbed up on the side of the post…not as small as they were the last time we took the picture , they knocked over the lamp. Luckily Noah has quick reflexes he caught it before it hit the ground…of course everyone standing around us saw it and then whispered about the out of control Mom who allowed her kids to climb the lamp post…sheesh.
It may never be easy but it will always be worth it.
