Veterans Day has a special meaning for the tribe. They all know that I am a military brat, the child of a military brat…and they all carry a sense of pride in their heart for the men of our family who have served their country.
Ben marched in his first Veterans Day parade with his ROTC platoon. The tribe turned out on a very chilly night to cheer him on…and to honor all the men and women who have died so that they may have freedom.
It may never be easy but it will always be worth it.
